Sgt. Brad Hojek Jr. United States Army Ranger was seriously wounded in combat overseas. While deployed, Brad was shot several times and suffered injuries to the hip and pelvis; he is recovering at a Military Hospital in Texas. Afterwards he will go to a rehab facility in Texas to continue his healing.  It will be a long road to a full recovery that will be extremely challenging.

Brad’s Dad (Brad Sr.), Mom (Terry), Stepmom (Nettie) and 3 sisters (Dayna, Jamie and Jayci) are taking shifts to assist Brad with recovery in Texas.  Brad was born and raised in Evergreen Park, is a 2006 Oak Lawn High School graduate.  He is the grandson, of the late Fire Chief John Hojek Sr. of Evergreen Park Fire Dept., the son of Bridgeview Firefighter Brad Hojek Sr. & nephew to several firefighters and police officers.  He comes from a family who prides themselves on serving their country and community.  It is our honor to try to help heal and provide to him during his recovery.
